This morning I woke up to an e-mail from Pearson VUE with my Authorization To Test (ATT) document attached. I scheduled my NCLEX test date! It’s at some time during the third week of June. !!!

(okay, so i just learned i cannot reblog myself on tumblr. this post is in reference to yesterday’s post about naked juice labelling a non-vegan smoothie as vegan.)

addendum: naked juice wrote back! here’s their response:

“Jennifer:

We appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns about Naked Juice Probiotic Tropical Mango Smoothie. You’ll be happy to know this product is actually dairy free. The labeling “contains milk” is for Kosher certification purposes.

okay, well, that just confuses me more, then. it’s dairy free but states that it contains milk for kosher reasons? i am certainly no expert on kosher dietary laws (i really don’t know much about it, actually), so maybe someone else who is more knowledgeable could explain it to me. i’m still not planning on consuming this smoothie anytime soon.

why can i never be happy with my hair the way it is? if it’s short, i want it long. if it’s long, i want it short. it’s getting longer from my growing-out pixie, but it’s not long enough. if my bangs are side-swept, i want them blunt. if they’re blunt, i want them side-swept. if my hair is my natural color, i want to dye it auburn. when i dye it auburn, i want my natural color back.

why do i get so worked up over my hair? the best thing about hair? it grows!

vegan alert!

i was at target today and noticed a new flavor of naked juice— probiotic machine tropical mango. i picked it up to read ingredients as i usually do, and noticed it was labelled as vegan. i glanced at the ingredients list and it stated “contains: milk ingredients.” last i checked, milk WASN’T vegan, so i’ve written to naked juice about this issue. i’ll post their response when i receive it, but i thought i’d get this info out there so people were aware. i’ve posted my iphone photos above, so you can see the label. vegans, don’t drink this juice!

today was my last clinical day ever. tomorrow i take my final final exam. pinning is a week from friday, on the 18th. i graduate on the 19th.

this is all so exciting, but also it doesn’t quite seem real yet.

complete sidenote and random, but i’ve fallen completely in love with ed sheeran’s music. absolutely gorgeous. i liken his style to a cross between jason mraz and damien rice; i definitely recommend a listen. so beautiful. also, he’s english, so of course i love that. such gorgeous lyrics, too. ::swoon::

You don’t get “cheat days”. There is no day where you can have a lapse in your morality and consume murder. It’s never okay. So being vegan 364 days a year to have 1 day off, is not veganism. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. It’s not a popularity contest it’s a commitment.

Get over yourselves and realize it’s much bigger than any tumblr argument, it’s much bigger than a current craving. It’s much bigger than you.
