yes, peacocks can fly! i attended marlboro college from 2001-2005 and there were himalayan peacocks on campus (a former student studied them). they can definitely fly short distances. i remember on several occasions a peacock flew into my dorm’s common room and we had to help herd it out. they are very silly birds.
