why can i never be happy with my hair the way it is? if it’s short, i want it long. if it’s long, i want it short. it’s getting longer from my growing-out pixie, but it’s not long enough. if my bangs are side-swept, i want them blunt. if they’re blunt, i want them side-swept. if my hair is my natural color, i want to dye it auburn. when i dye it auburn, i want my natural color back.
::sigh::
why do i get so worked up over my hair? the best thing about hair? it grows!
okay, off to wash up before reading and bed. day #3 of the killer hurst NCLEX review is tomorrow! i’m enjoying it and learning a lot, but eight hours a day of lecture and note taking is challenging.
hubby downloaded some meme generator photo editing software to his mac. i dunno. anyway, he just made this, which made me laugh quite a bit, so i’m posting it here despite the fact that it’s not the most flattering photo of me ever.

look at my hair! it is getting longer! progress! yay!!!!
this is my silly post about how much i hate my hair lately. it’s going on seven months that i’ve been growing it out from super-short pixie and i just hate this whole growing-out process. it’s awkward and ugly and fjdljkfsf. i am so tempted to march down to supercuts and get the whole thing chopped short again, but i’m afraid i will instantly regret it.
one of my pinterest boards is all about cute hairdos and there are a ton of pixie ‘dos on there. a pixie cut is cute and easy to maintain! it’s sassy! it’s a big “eff you” to the idea of “traditional femininity = long hair.” i got tons of compliments with my short hair… apparently i have “the perfect face” for a pixie cut? all i know is i have a large head, huge forehead, pointy nose and chin, and small eyes and lips, and if a pixie suits that, then okay.
everyone says to be patient. hmph.
i miss my short hair. i’ve been growing it for six months and i suddenly have the urge to chop it all off again. see also my pinterest board “hair inspiration,” filled with pixie cuts. also, michelle williams at tonight’s golden globes! cutest hair ever!
