vegan alert!
i was at target today and noticed a new flavor of naked juice— probiotic machine tropical mango. i picked it up to read ingredients as i usually do, and noticed it was labelled as vegan. i glanced at the ingredients list and it stated “contains: milk ingredients.” last i checked, milk WASN’T vegan, so i’ve written to naked juice about this issue. i’ll post their response when i receive it, but i thought i’d get this info out there so people were aware. i’ve posted my iphone photos above, so you can see the label. vegans, don’t drink this juice!

If you eat fish, or chicken. You are not a vegetarian, they are animals, not plants.
If you consume honey, gelatin, casein, or beeswax you are not vegan.
If you purchase leather, wool, or cashmere, you are not vegan.
If you eat it when no one is around to see you, you’re still not vegan.
I don’t know how this is that hard to understand.
You don’t get “cheat days”. There is no day where you can have a lapse in your morality and consume murder. It’s never okay. So being vegan 364 days a year to have 1 day off, is not veganism. It’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle. It’s not a popularity contest it’s a commitment.
Get over yourselves and realize it’s much bigger than any tumblr argument, it’s much bigger than a current craving. It’s much bigger than you.

I’ve always loved the look of all of the products made by the company “I Love…”, whose products can be found in Superdrug. I’ve never found any vegan labelling on any of their products, so decided to email them - crossing my fingers tightly that they’d have something vegan among their temptingly fruity range!
They replied quickly, to inform me that ALL of their products, EXCEPT the Body Butters, are indeed suitable for vegans. Great news! Now I can’t wait to try them all - they sound delicious.

Breeding animals in order to drink their milk, steal their offsprings, eat them, eat their offsprings is NOT “natural”, it’s human,
because there is no other species on this planet that is doing that.
With our technological advantage over all other species on this planet, we have the innate obligation to use this advantage for the benefit of all - and not to their demise and our own short term profit,
long term self-destruction.
But the reason for why I’m vegan is :
Their lives matter just as much as mine does.
If I played along in making their lives miserable,
my life wouldn’t make any sense, either.
There is a life beyond consumption, materialism and profit.
Every life has an innate, immeasurable value.
Humans have an innate responsibility.
I know that one day, we will have to remember that.
And act upon it. All of us.
